Happy 2016 friends!!
I hope you all had a fabulous and eventful New Years!
Mine was spent with friends and champagne 😉 But that being said, I am so ready for a brand new year. I am currently unemployed (sad face) but I already have so many plans for 2016. One of which includes my own business but we’ll keep that our little secret for now hehe
In between applying for jobs and countless Netflix binges, I’ve found some time for some pretty cool adventures! So I am proud to present my first post of the new year…the Jim Morrison Cave!
Located in the hills of Malibu, the Jim Morrison cave is well hidden at the top of a mountain. I actually found out about this hike through Instagram so I packed up my bag, grabbed a friend and trekked my way up to Malibu.
16 hours, 12 rides, 4 churros and 1 cancelled fireworks show…I can now honestly say that I have spent an entire day at Disneyland!
And boy was it a long day! My sister and I had purchased a park ticket for our mom last Christmas that was quickly expiring so my little family of four finally decided on a Saturday in December when we could all go (which was not an easy feat let me tell you)
I was worried about crowds since we were going mid-December during Christmastime. I was expecting 2 hour wait lines and loads of tourists – and I was happily surprised!
We arrived at the gates at 8:16 am after we had checked into our hotel we booked for the night. We headed right for Space Mountain to get a FastPass before they were gone for the day.
Happy December friends!
How is it already Christmastime?!
Since the weather has been getting a little too chilly for beach days, I thought now would be a good time for a shameless little plug of my own muahaha
If you haven’t seen on my Instagram or Hawaii video yet, I have a few mixes up my sleeve 😉 So if you feel like listening, head over to my SoundCloud and check out my latest mix RIGHT HERE!
I’ll have a brand new post coming your way next week too! Hint: it involves a mouse hehe
It’s the middle of November here in Southern California and the weather is still nice enough for a beach day! So we packed our bags and headed down to Tablerock Beach in Laguna. Camera gear in hand, I was prepared for a pretty awesome sunset…and it did not disappoint.
Long exposure of Tablerock Beach in Laguna at sunset.
Tablerock is probably one of my top five favorite beaches in Laguna, maybe even top three. Whatever direction you go in, there’s epicness. There’s also a little perch to the right if you climb up so you have an awesome view of the whole beach as well as the sunset. Located smack in the middle of the beach is also a little rock formation that you can climb and take some pretty sweet pictures as well.
GUYS I’M SO EXCITED!
My Hawaii video is finally finished!! Only 3 months later…whoops haha
I went through what felt like hours of footage and after finding the perfect songs to mix the video with, IT’S HERE!
You can check out the whole 7:30 min video below – be sure to put it in HD before watching! Let me know your thoughts and comments too! I want to hear from you guys!
It truly was the best week of my life so I’m incredibly happy I now have a video to help me remember all the fun I had that week.
All filming by me – shot with a GoPro Hero4 Silver and a Canon Rebel T6i.

BACK BY POPULAR DEMAND!
It’s been way too long since I’ve done a Thousand Steps post, mostly due to weather conditions created by El Nino. With so many big swells and high tides, it’s been extremely tough to find a time to be able to get over to the pools when it wasn’t the middle of the night. But two weeks ago, the ocean gods aligned and gave us a whole four hours of play time at the pools!
Some baby barrels breaking on the shore.
My friend Tessa and I were lucky enough to find some free time during the week so the beach was particularly empty. We trekked over the rocks and over to our secret spot to discover we were the only people at both pools. The 70 degree water wasn’t too bad either 🙂
Playing mermaid with my beautiful friends.
It’s happening guys…summer is ending 😦
I can’t believe how fast this summer has flown by and how much fun I’ve had. It’s weird to think that I won’t have to go back to school this fall, but I’m looking forward to continuing my free time.
My parents were all set to go on our annual end-of-summer trip to Lake Havasu in Arizona. 85 degree waters, wakeboarding, tubing, rock jumping, bikinis…I’M SOLD. By some miracle I was able to get all my shifts covered at work so we packed up our boat and headed across the state for a couple days.
Taking in the sunset from the water.
One of the best things about Havasu is really the amount of activities you can do on just one lake. The first day was spent just relaxing around our friend’s vacation house rental which comes complete with an infinity pool overlooking the valley, game room, movie room and overall perfection.
